About Us

The Story Behind PATO Mechanical Services

Our founder, Patrick, started PATO Mechanical Services after more than 15 years of hands-on mechanical experience in Canada and abroad. With a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and years spent repairing working equipment in different environments, he brings a practical understanding of how machines operate, fail, and get back to work. PATO Mechanical Services was built around clear troubleshooting, straightforward communication, and helping customers understand what their equipment needs. Much of the company's early growth has come through referrals from customers who value that direct approach.

Small Engine Repair for Home, Property & Work Equipment

Equipment Around Your Property

Mowers, snowblowers, chainsaws, generators, trimmers, and other seasonal machines may sit for months between periods of regular use. Contact us when starting, performance, cutting, or operation changes.

Landscaping & Property Maintenance Equipment

Equipment used across multiple properties accumulates operating hours quickly. PATO Mechanical Services can help when a mower, trimmer, blower, tractor, or another machine develops a problem that interrupts your work.

Construction & Commercial Equipment

Quick cut saws, generators, snow-removal equipment, and other working machines often perform under load and in demanding conditions. Tell us how the equipment is used and exactly when the problem appears.

Our 4-Step Small Engine Repair Process

01

Tell Us About the Equipment

Contact PATO Mechanical Services with the equipment type, make and model, your location, and a photo when possible.

02

Describe What Is Happening

Tell us what happens when you start, run, drive, cut, or operate the machine. We may ask about recent use, storage, previous service, and when the problem began.

03

Arrange Drop-Off or Onsite Assessment

Smaller equipment is generally handled through drop-off service. Larger machines that are difficult to transport may qualify for an onsite assessment based on the equipment, location, and problem.

04

Review the Findings and Repair

After inspection, we explain what we found, what work is required, and if replacement parts are needed. PATO Mechanical Services can source parts and provide updates when availability affects the repair.

Small Engine Repair Pricing

Small engine repair pricing depends on the equipment, problem, required parts, and work involved. If PATO Mechanical Services travels to your location for diagnosis or an onsite assessment, a $150 service call fee applies. We discuss the fee before the visit, and it is applied toward the repair cost if you proceed.
